Professional Pet Grooming in Lisbon
At Restelo Vet, grooming is more than aesthetics — it is an important part of your pet’s health and wellbeing. Our experienced groomer, Neide Oliveira, provides a full range of grooming services for dogs and cats in a calm, stress-free environment directly within our veterinary clinic in Restelo, Lisbon.
Combining grooming with veterinary care means that any skin condition, parasites, or health concerns spotted during a grooming session can be immediately assessed by one of our vets — a level of care that standalone grooming salons simply cannot offer.
Our Grooming Services
Bath & Blow Dry — Full wash with professional pet shampoo suited to your pet’s coat and skin type, followed by a thorough dry and brush-out.
Haircut & Styling — Breed-specific cuts or owner-requested styles, using professional scissors and clippers.
Brushing & De-matting — Regular brushing prevents painful matting, especially in long-haired breeds. We also remove existing mats carefully and without causing discomfort to your pet.
Ear & Eye Cleaning — Regular cleaning helps prevent infections and keeps your pet comfortable.
Nail Trimming — Overgrown nails can cause pain and posture problems. We trim nails safely, avoiding the quick.
Anal Gland Expression — A routine procedure that helps prevent discomfort and infection in dogs.
Parasite Control — We apply anti-parasite treatments during grooming sessions when requested, including flea and tick prevention products.
Why Regular Grooming Matters
Regular grooming does more than keep your pet looking good. It helps maintain healthy skin and coat, prevents parasites from going undetected, reduces shedding, and allows for early detection of lumps, skin irritations, or other issues. For long-haired breeds in particular, grooming every 6 to 8 weeks is strongly recommended.
Our groomer will advise you on the ideal grooming frequency for your specific breed and coat type during your first visit.
