Vaccination
Vaccines stimulate our pets immune system making them more resistant
to the infectious agents
by vaccinating your pet you are protecting him from potentially fatal diseases.
In dogs, following an adequate vaccination plan can prevent diseases such as distemper, parvovirus, infectious canine hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza and rabies.
Vaccination against Leishmaniasis is also one of the best preventive measures in dogs.
Vaccination of your dog against rabies and the placement of a microchip is mandatory by law, and must be carried out until 4 months of age.
In cats, vaccines can prevent agents and diseases such as panleucopenia, infectious rhinotracheitis, herpesvirus and feline leukemia (FeLV).

Cat Vaccination
Cats also benefit from a structured vaccination programme. Core vaccines for cats protect against feline herpesvirus, calicivirus, and panleukopenia — diseases that can be fatal, especially in kittens and older cats. We also recommend vaccination against feline leukaemia (FeLV), particularly for cats that go outdoors or live with other cats.
Kittens should receive their first vaccines from 8 weeks of age, with a booster 3 to 4 weeks later. Annual boosters are then recommended to maintain immunity throughout your cat’s life.
Vaccination Schedule for Puppies and Kittens
Starting vaccinations at the right age is essential for your pet’s protection. For puppies, the initial series begins at 6 to 8 weeks of age, with follow-up doses every 3 to 4 weeks until 16 weeks. For kittens, the schedule begins at 8 weeks. Our vets will advise you on the ideal schedule based on your pet’s age, health status, and lifestyle.
After the initial puppy or kitten series, annual or triennial boosters are required depending on the specific vaccine — we will remind you when your pet is due.
Annual Health Check & Booster Vaccines
Each year, we recommend bringing your pet in for a full health check alongside their booster vaccinations. This annual visit allows our vets to assess your pet’s overall condition, check for early signs of illness, and keep their vaccination record up to date. Prevention is always better — and less costly — than treatment.
EU Pet Passport & International Travel
If you plan to travel within the European Union with your pet, an EU Pet Passport is required. We issue and update pet passports at our clinic. Your pet must be microchipped and up to date with their rabies vaccination to qualify. We recommend booking a travel consultation at least 4 weeks before your planned departure date.
